Gloucester Cathedral and Tinturn Abby

We spent the day visiting three uniquely different cathedrals.  In the morning we visited Gloucester Cathedral.  It reminded me a lot of Norte Dame.

Do these halls look familiar?  Some scenes from Harry Potter were filmed here.
I wonder what they are looking for?

The stain glass was amazing.

We ate lunch just outside the cathedral.
This friendly little cat decided he liked Wayne.  It just sat down next to Wayne.
As we were trying to find our next cathedral we took a short-cut.  Does anyone use this phone? It was out in the middle of nowhere.  There weren't even homes around.
We drove down narrow windy roads.  Tanya and the girls weren't too excited.  The roads made them car sick.  As for Tim, Wayne and me we thought it was a fun adventure.
Tinturn Abbey commands respect.  The ruins are magnificent.

The cows were enjoying lunch right next to the Abbey.
Can you see her?  The little girls loved climbing and hiding in the ruins.

The back...
The front...
The Abbey was our claim to visiting Wales.

I guess it was ambiance time.
The Avon Gorge was beautiful.  We drove across it on the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

We spent the night in Bristol.
There was a big outdoor screen where people were watching the Olympics.
The harbor area was quite pretty.
Yes, another cathedral.  When we walked inside there was a concert going on.  Wouldn't you know we came all the way from California to hear a youth symphony from Irvine California.  They really were pretty good.

Wayne and I had a difficult time getting our bearings in this city.  Yes, I would actually say we were lost.  But don't fell sorry for us.  We found a yogurt place that was just like Swirls in California.  It was yummy.
