Bath and Avebury

Bath is a rather unique city.  You can see and feel the Roman influence.
The shop lined Pulteney Bridge is compared to Ponte Vecchio of Florence.

As we walked by I looked in for a real quick glance of the baths.  It didn't dare get too close.  The doors was guarded.

We had a nice view of the Royal Crescent. It  is a row of town houses in a half-moon shape.

Avebury is like Stonehenge.  The stones are prehistoric monuments.  We didn't pay to see all of the sights. We just walked around a few of the stones.  There are stone circles here too.  The difference is the size.  In Avebury you can walk right up and touch the stones.  They are in the middle of pastures.

I finally got to see houses with thatched roofs.
