Milan and one last visit

Friday morning we were up early to catch the 6:00 train to Milan.  It was early enough that we didn't think taxis would be working. So we walked the half mile to the station.  Thank goodness it was downhill and the suitcase had wheels.  We got on and off many modes of transportation this day.

Travel from Zermatt to Milan to London to Greenwich
Walk to train station 5:45 am.
Train departs 6:12
Arrive at Brig
Got on an Italian train
Got off-track was undergoing maintenance
Took a bus to another train station
Got on another train
Past Lake Como-beautiful big lake
Arrived in Milan 11:35
Stored luggage
Walked to Milan Duomo (Not impressed with this part of Milan)
Subway back to train
Train to airport
Shuttle bus from train to airport
Plane to London
Overground train to London Victoria Station
Wrong tube stop
Another tube to get to North Greenwich Station
No taxis around
Took bus to Van Brough Hill
Walked up the hill to Woodland Heights, arrived ???
Milan train station was very attractive.

Street and shopping next to the Cathedral.
People feed the birds so the birds are all over the place at the Duomo.

Hum?? I don't think that is Angel Moroni up there.  This cathedral was probably the best one I saw on this trip.  It reminds me of Notre Dame in Paris, but it doesn't compare to the beauty of a LDS Temple.

Saturday morning was the last time on this trip we had to spend with Tim, Tanya, Marisa, and Natalie.  They were watching two extra kids.  We went to downtown Greenwich.
The kids were told they would get a treat at the candy store.  Too bad, it was still closed.  We went back a little later and it was open.
Greenwich has a really nice market.
Cutty Sark in the daytime.

What a nice place to say good-bye to this cute little family.
