Summer play
I didn't get this on my last entry. Can you see why Haylie thinks we need a bigger pool?
I was trying to edit one of my entries and this picture of Leah just disappeared. I thought it was too cute to forget about so I put it back on.
More Fun at G and G's
One of the fun things I did with Haylie. Cade and Sara was go see High School Musical. It was done as a play at Fullerton JC. I really thought it was done well. There was great singing.
The weather has been really hot. Haylie said we need to build a great big pool. She thinks our yard has lots of room for one. The boys loved the water guns. My windows loved the water guns too.
Tanner loved the sprinkler. Saturday morning that was the first things he asked for. None of us wanted to go outside with him. I think it was the last thing he asked for as we were putting him in the car to go to his house.
Marisa came outside but really didn't like the wading pool. Tanya said she just brought her feet up when she tried to put her feet in the cold water.
Friday I got Grandpa and Sara to go with me to the beach. It was the first time I have been all year. It was a great day.
I thought this was a great picture. It tells it's own story.
Check the kids faces out. Pretty clean in this picture.
Look how blue their mouths are now.
Haylie spent hours making blanket tents in our front room.
Last night Wayne, Tim, Tanya, and Marisa went to the Hollywood Bowl. We got to hear Gladys Knight. She really gave a great performance. It was a beautiful night. The sky was clear. It was fun seeing all the different kinds of picnic people bring.

The rest of Illinois
Leah didn't want to get in the picture.
This is what I think of when I think of Illinois. There are lots and lots of corn fields.
I have been home now for a few days. I have a few funny stories I want to tell. First, Trent finished his first week of work and returned on Friday evening. I asked him Saturday morning how his night's sleep was. He answered that he has had better. So Saturday night he brings out blankets and sleeping bags into their front room. He positions himself in front of the TV. I sleep on the couch. I think he is moded because the noise of his newborn baby caused him to sleep in the same room as his mother-in-law. By the way I think he slept better Saturday.
The second story deals with the circus. As we left the circus the local radio station was handing out coupons for free kid's ice cream if an adult one was purchased. It also mention to listen to the radio station on Monday morning for a chance to win $100. All you had to do was call the station when you heard "The Show Will Go On" by Three Dog Night and be the ninth caller. Well, Abby wanted to try for the $100 dollars. All of the adults tried to tell her it would be almost impossible to win. Well, Monday morning Carin turns the radio on. As I am sitting at the table eating my breakfast I said "This is it." Abby was right next to me and didn't respond, so I said "This is it" again. She jumps up and gets Carin. Carin calls the station. They answer and Carin says, "We are???" You should have heard Abby scream. All of us were jumping up and down. Abby even went to get Brynn who was still in her bed. None of us could belief Abby's luck.
Abby continued her good luck because she kept saying she didn't want me to go home. Just as Carin was loading all the kids in the car to make a 45 min. drive to Bloomington, I get a call from Orbits telling me my flight had be canceled. It was due to thunderstorms. I had no way to get to Chicago in time to make the connecting flight. As it turned out I had to spend another night, but I was able to fly out of Champaign. I took a taxi at 4:45a.m. because I didn't want to have Carin wake all of her girls. She would have had a hard day. The taxi ride was only 15 min.

Illinois
It has been a great week in Illinois. I have had a chance to get to know the four Garner girls. Abby is glad everyone has had to go home from the beach house. She really wanted to be there. We heard about it almost everyday. Some of our highlights along with the baptism and blessing were trips to the water park, trips to different parks, shopping, blueberry picking, a movie and the circus. We went to the circus today at 2pm. I thought there would be fans or something to keep the tent cool. I was wrong. Boy, did we get hot. The circus was okay, but remind me to make sure and go when it is cooler. I still haven't quite figured out how to get pictures on my blog. They are on the computer. but I can't get into them to post. Someone help.
